DANIEL BURNHAM
ABOUT THE PROJECT

As the co-director and lead designer of TEDxUChicago 2014, I was responsible for all marketing, design, and creative aspects surrounding the event. This included developing and designing the main branding for the event visible on t-shirts, programs, posters, and other marketing materials.

The theme of the 2014 event, Make No Little Plans, was inspired by Daniel Burnham, the American architect known for overseeing the design and construction of the 1893 World’s Columbian Exposition and several major Chicago development projects. The branding is rooted in elements from the world’s fair, and infuses the signature red flair from TED’s main branding.
