FREDDY TSAO
Working in the intersection of strategy, research, communications, and design, I am excited about the power of empathic design to effect social change. I specialize in work alongside organizations to craft research methodologies that illuminate unmet human needs and cultural barriers to entry, and strategically design inclusive experiences that address systemic challenges with a human touch.
Since my time at the University of Chicago as a Public Policy and a Cinema & Media Studies major, I’ve swam around in the public service, higher education, consulting, architecture, and design sectors, with the ultimate aim of learning from different lived experiences and working collaboratively to spark new approaches towards age-old problems. My work in graphic design, branding, photography, and filmmaking affords me various tools that I harness to tell stories that inform, excite, and engage.
In my personal time, I absolutely love watching theatre and musical theatre, enjoying other forms of multimedia storytelling, improvising, and insisting that I’m a tea person as I sip my cold brew coffee in the morning.
